I always say that photography is like a muscle that you must always work out.
As wedding photographers we have a particular season we work, which normally begins in April and ends in November, meaning we have quite a few months of down time. I like to take advantage of this time to keep learning and see new places.
This year I had the opportunity to take a trip with Javier Abad, a good friend whom I greatly admire. We spent part of this adventure in Portland where we met Benjamin and Nicole, both incredibly talented. Little by little I’ll be publishing what we created together.
Today’s post was Benjamin’s idea, who not only helped out with the styling but also gave us the opportunity to do a styled shoot with a couple.
These type of sessions allow me to strengthen that muscle and to show that all weddings don’t have to be the same. They also show open future brides to different experiences with personality and style.
My studio is in the Canary Islands, an archipelago in which each island offers different scenery, allowing for many different kinds of weddings – on the beach, on a mountain, volcano, dessert.
But it doesn’t stop there, thanks to this passion for learning and growing I have been able to discover how stimulating it is to develop my craft around the world.
I’m a lover of simple weddings without all the frills, where the most important thing is love, friendship and family.
Thank you Ben & Nicole for teaching us so much and thank you for motivating me to flex this marvolous muscle that is photography.
